I’ve decided to give up trying to change people’s opinions, trying to explain to them that when we run out of money for all these glorious social experiments, then the defecation will get in the ventilation (see Greece, heck see OWS). The Constitution has been completely trashed,or ignored-especially by this current crop of power hungry yahoos, Big Brother IS watching us and most of the American people don’t give a rat’s patooie; as long as they get theirs, well that’s just fine. I’ve said for years that as soon as there are more people voting for a living than working for a living, that will be when the fat lady starts singing for this once great country. I weep for my children, and their children.
My efforts will now be on a more personal level. I’ll concentrate on my family’s survival. Not necessarily on prepping, although that will be part of it, but on leading a less conflicted life. I’m going to try to not let the idiots on the left (or right) steal my good humor. I’ll continue to read their drivel, but try not to feel the need to respond to it in logical, truthful arguments. Instead, if I feel led, I’ll mock them or satirize them, but they are beyond truth and logic.
I think I’ll learn to play the piano, or paint, or garden, or maybe just improve my gun skills–something that won’t give me a headache by thinking I have to deal with progressives, leftists, rat bastid commies on the interwebzot thingie, or anywhere else.
I will continue to try to live my life by the teachings of Jesus, and “to do my best to do my duty to God and Country”, but I’m merely a man and will fail at times. But I’ll get back up and try again.
