Ignorance is Bliss, (in some cases)

I guess in some cases that ignorance is bliss. This video is  about 5 minutes long but says so much about the so called enlightened, progressive party of Obama. Especially the one who says “whatever my President wants, I’ll support” that is truly frightening. That is the same type of thinking that gets anybody in trouble. “Just following orders” etc, etc–you know where unthinking and blind loyalty leads.

Those same non-thinking fools idiots Kool-aid drinkers  leftists then buy into this line of BS: “we all belong to the Government”.  What! Wait, I don’t belong to the government, I use the government when necessary, but the government belongs to me. For without the producers paying taxes there would be no government. Dummies!

A (re-)statement of questions.

This was from June of 2011. The questions are still relevant–they’ll always be relevant.

QOTD: “The [Sixth Circuit] majority [decision upholding Obamacare’s individual mandate] is ludicrous. It stated, “Virtually everyone will need health care services at some point, including, in the aggregate, those without health insurance.”

“All of us will need shelter. Should government control the residential housing market and compel individuals to buy approved housing?

All of us will need clothes. Should government control the clothing market and compel individuals to buy approved clothing?

All of us will need food. Should government control the food supply and compel individuals to buy only approved foods?

All of us will need transportation. Should government control all modes of transportation and compel individuals to buy only approved transportation services?

And, now that the Constitution has been shredded, where does this control over the individual end?

I’ll tell you where it ends: with the destruction of this Republic, by a fifth column called the cadaver of the Democrat Party, a once-proud and patriotic group that has been utterly subsumed by the maggots known as Marxists.” Doug Ross

(Emphasis above  is mine)

This is ONLY about the Federal Government getting more power; if you believe that a great lumbering bureaucracy cares about you, you’re delusional enough to vote for Obama. You’re delusional enough to believe that more spending will result in a lower debt, crazy enough to believe that if we are just nice to the Islamists that they will make nice with us. And probably in so much denial that you believe that what happens on American Idol/The Voice/Jersey Shores–whatever– is important   If you believe any of that, Please, please do not vote! You’re part of the problem. (Hey, if the Panthers can physically intimidate voters and get away with it, I can beg you not to vote)

Look at Europe, do you really want to go down that path? that way leads to Greece, Spain, etc. Nothing but shells of their former glory, with a large dependent class and unsustainable debt. The CBO estimates that by 2035 Americas debt service will take 200% of GDP to pay–Impossible! My prediction is we won’t last until 2035 if we don’t change our present direction NOW! and continue in 2012 with a sweeping out of the spenders (either party),drastically reduce spending (back to FY 2001 levels), lower taxes (or eliminate them and go with the Fair Tax) otherwise, say goodbye to our country as we know it. That would mean our children and grandchildren would be stuck with something that is hard for me to envision; a world with no where to go to escape the stifling, choking stench of Socialism/Marxism/oppressiveness. No place to escape to, to be able to enjoy individual liberty, freedom.

We have to get back to the Constitution. To the founding ideas. We have to desire freedom and liberty more than convenience and pleasure.

Pray for our country.

Bigportant

A Facebook acquaintance’s  son made up a word: “Bigportant” (from a discussion re: BigPharma, BigGov,etc) Defintion: entity thinks it is Big and Important, or my 1st definition: largest player in a field, ie: ExxonMobil, Federal Government,  my 2nd definition: Unmitigated arrogance, conceit, self-importance, hubris, also see: narcissism.

I think the following quotes easily meet the son’s definition and my 2nd definition :

“Because if we are willing to work for it, and fight for it, and believe in it, then I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on earth.” -Barack  Obama June 3, 2008

From “60 Minutes” Dec 11th 2011: He ( Obama) rejected questioner Steve Kroft’s suggestion that the public was judging him on his performance as president. “I’m being judged against the ideal, ‘Don’t judge me against the Almighty, judge me against the alternative.’”

“The issue here is not gonna be a list of accomplishments. As you said yourself, Steve, you know, I would put our legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president — with the possible exceptions of Johnson, F.D.R., and Lincoln”. — Barack Obama  Source

Arrogance thy name is Obama.

End of message.

We have a Winner!

UPDATE. 01/02/11

A commenter pointed out that the ending debt of Bush 43 was around $11 trillion and now the current is around $15 trillion. Here’s another chart:

Does this make you feel better?  Not me.  If you really want to get depressed go here. And here.

My statement will stand: This is the most destructive cabal of an administration in my lifetime and I lived through the Carter years. Confession: I even voted for the peanut farmer. Bad mistake, I’ll have that stain on my conscience as long as I live.

ORIGINAL POST:

Can one person “break the bank?”  Yes. Yes, one person can:

h/t Mostlycajun.

It took 43 Administrations to get to 6.3 TRILLION! $. Mr. Sereto Obama beat it in one! What a guy, maybe he is The One.

Now of course he had lots of help from the Dems in Congress (remember they took over both houses in 2006), they stopped passing budgets in 2008 after Obama was elected, and have just been  doing continuing resolutions since, thereby adding to the baseline spending. Now if they do a budget they will have the “baseline” to work with, and they can “cut” spending and still increase the costs. “Cutting” spending in a baseline budget is only decreasing the rate of increase. BTW: Cutting the deficit doesn’t mean jack squat unless the deficit is cut to ZERO. If there is a deficit we still add that to the debt.

Unless there are true fiscal Conservatives elected this cycle, we are in the crapper. Some say it may be too late now, but I’m an optimist.

ANYONE who thinks we can sustain this  spending is living in denial, in fact may be the King of denial. I know, I know-there are a lot of people out there that think Obama is the greatest thing since _________ (you fill in the blank). That’s what so sad; the people who think that get to vote anyway.

Back to the bunker.
